Diogo grew up with a camera on hand and constantly moving…
around the Americas and Europe. Big cities and the tiniest towns alike. He graduated from NYU with a major in Politics and a minor in Creative Writing.
Before taking a leap of faith with photography, he worked in politics as a lobbyist and political consultant in Mexico and in the United States.
As a photographer he has worked with NGOs and high-end magazines. Collaborations are key.
He thinks photography should be a conversation: between photographer and subject, between photograph and self. It’s all about empathy. Being around animals, specially horses, brings him peace. Writing about himself in the third person feels like reaching into a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans.
He has a Tibetan Terrier called Dalai and they currently live in Vale do Capão in Bahia.
